FOLLOWING the huge TV success of the children's hit series, Fifi and The Flowertots, Premier Productions is taking the show on a national theatre tour throughout the remainder of 2008 and 2009.
The show will be coming to the Alexandra Theatre on Sunday November 9 with two afternoon performances, one at 1pm and the other at 3.30pm.
After the show's launch on Five's Milkshake! and Nick Jr in May 2005, Fifi and the Flowertots - brainchild of Bob The Builder creator, Keith Chapman - has become a global phenomenon appealing to children aged 2-7 years.
The stage production, called The Fairy and the Flowertots, follows Clairy Fairy, a fairy who is blown off course and lands in Flowertot Garden. Fifi (voiced by Jane Horrocks) and her Flowertot friends have to help Clairy find her lost wand so she can mend her magic wings and return home.
The enchanting 90 minute production is full of music, fun and audience participation as Fifi, Violet, Primrose, Bumble, Stingo and Slugsy join together to help their new found fairy friend.
Greg Lynn, Managing Director of Chapman Entertainment and show co-producer comments: "The Fairy and the Flowertots introduces children from 2-7 years to the delights of live theatre. This is the first time that a number of characters from the programme will make a public appearance and we are really proud of this production. It is a lot of fun and we know kids and parents alike are going to enjoy it!"
