Choir returning for city concert

A CHOIR which had the then Bishop of Birmingham dancing in the aisles of Birmingham Cathedral is returning to the city.

A CHOIR which had the then Bishop of Birmingham dancing in the aisles of Birmingham Cathedral is returning to the city.

The Ndirande Anglican Voices choir, from a suburb of Malawi’s second city Blantyre, first came to Birmingham in 2005 when they staged a joint concert with the City of Birmingham Young Voices (CBYV). The success of that concert has prompted the return of the African choir to celebrate CBYV’s 10th anniversary and raise funds for charity.

Tickets for the concert at St Philip’s Cathedral on July 16 are priced £5 and are available on the door. The concert begins at 7.30pm.
