Choirs to celebrate

THREE choirs will be joining forces for a special concert this spring.

THREE choirs will be joining forces for a special concert this spring. Solihull Chandos Choir, the Hampton Singers and the Ex Urbe Chamber Choir will be performing together to celebrate the 65 years since VE Day.

Choristers will be performing Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man, a Mass for Piece - conducted by musical director John Bayley.

If you’d be interested in taking part in the anniversary concert, you can join the team for rehearsals at St Peter’s School. On February 9 at 7.30pm, an open rehearsal will be held. If you’ve got any questions beforehand then call 01564 779962.

The concert itself will be performed at Bushell Hall, Solihull School on May 8. Ex Urbe Chamber Choir is Birmingham Based, the choir was originally formed by a group of friends from the CBSO.
