A NEW feature to the Stratford-upon-Avon Royal Shakespeare Theatre has been donated by jeweller, George Pragnell.

The new addition to the theatre is a large black clock, set upon the mirror behind the Ruinart Circle Bar of the theatre. It was designed and made by George Prangell’s clock maker ,Smith of Derby Ltd, and is structured to match with the Art Deco architecture of the original Shakespearian theatre.

The clock is greatly appreciated by both staff and visitors at the theatre. Vikki Heywood, RSC Executive Director said: “The Pragnell clock is a lovely addition with the new theatre, and fits in beautifully with the design of the building”.

Also, Charlie Pragnell, Managing Director at George Pragnell said: “We have no doubt there are some wonderful productions to be enjoyed this year, and we are keen that everyone gets to their seats in good time.”

It is currently the RSC 50th birthday season, which means productions such as Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice are being staged.
