BROOKES Restaurant, a vibrant modern eating facility is located within the four star Holiday Inn Solihull, and is not only available to hotel guests, but to members of the public too.
Having views overlooking the hotel’s terrace and fountain, this easily accessible ground floor restaurant has a welcoming feel.
Its dark cream interior and soft piped music adds to its ambience to provide a comfortable and relaxing dining experience.
From the Table D’hote Menu, my dining companions and I for starters opted for the spicy crab cakes with crème fraiche (£5.25), soup of the day (£4.95) and fresh melon with raspberry couli (£4.50).
Although tempted to try the buffalo mozzarella (£4.95), I was pleased with my selection of tasty crab cakes. For mains my husband chose his favourite an 8oz West Country sirloin steak (£16.95), while our youngest daughter and I opted for the char-grilled chicken with fajita spices (£11.95).
Attractively served on modern square-style plates all our dishes arrived promptly to the table including our two side orders of garlic bread. To finish we ordered a tangy lemon tart (£5), fresh fruit salad (£4.50), cheese and biscuits £5.50 and two coffees.
Not only serving delicious food in its restaurant, with the forthcoming party season in mind, this year the Holiday Inn Solihull will be hosting nine Disco party nights in December including Friday 11 and Saturday 19 – both nights include a three course meal priced £29.95 per person.
