TWO pals from Solihull recently teamed up to put on an exhibition at a top London gallery.
Ian Davies and Paul Normansell, who met at Alderbrook School, have found that their talents are a perfect match for one another.
Paul - who created the artwork for The Killers Day & Age album - creates his colourful pieces from photographs.
So it’s handy that Ian is a dab hand with a lens - providing the pictures that his friend can turn into art.
The 31-year-olds held their first joint-exhibition at the Wanted Gallery, in Notting Hill.
It caused a bit of a stir and now they’re hoping to produce a whole series of artwork together.
“We got interested in art from a young age, but followed different paths,” explained Ian.
“Paul went on to study Fine Arts and later on, I became a mature student and studied photography at Birmingham City University.
“We’ve found that we work well together and are looking to produce more work where I take the pictures that Ian uses for his artwork.”
