The Father Teds mark ‘Paddy’s Day Parade’

ST Patrick’s Day was a special one this year for Birmingham Irish band The Father Teds.

The band have released a four track CD, with the main song being all about Birmingham’s now legendary celebrations to mark the feats day of Ireland’s patron saint.

‘Paddy’s Day Parade’ is the main track on the CD and is a musical tribute to Birmingham’s St Patrick’s Day Parade which took place last Sunday.

The CD features a blend of both original and traditional Irish material.

The title track was written by the band’s frontman and singer/songwriter Rich McMahon, who lives in Acocks Green.

It was inspired by the band’s appearance last year at the Birmingham St. Patrick’s festival.

The EP also includes an emotive version of the traditional ballad ‘She Moved Through The Fair’.

The Father Teds are currently in the studio working on a new album which they hope to release later in the year.
