GO along to Touchwood this month as the shopping centre acts as a host to Birmingham’s annual Jazz and Blues Festival for the fourth year running.

From July 1 – 10, the festival will feature great toe-tapping tunes with the playing of plenty of jazz and blues classics for residents to enjoy.

And Touchwood will be showcasing the talents of some of the best acts in the festival.

Guests who come along on July 8, 9 or 10 will be treated to free live performances from Touchwood favourite, Tipitina, American songstress Sandi Russell and Dave Moorwood’s fantastic Rascals of Rhythm.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “The festival is a great opportunity for people in the local area to enjoy some fantastic musical talent for free so we are delighted to be taking part again.

“We have some of the best acts in the world of blues and jazz taking to the stage so we encourage everyone to pop along and enjoy the show-stopping performances for themselves. Jazz music is a great sound track to the season and will hopefully get everyone in the summer spirit!”

The acts will be playing as follows: Friday, July 8 - Tipitina @ 12:30pm, Saturday, July 9 – Sandi Russell @ 2.30pm and Sunday, July10 – Dave Moorwood’s Rascals of Rhythms @ 1pm.
