IT’S hard to believe that February 3 2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of one of rock n’roll’s biggest stars - Buddy Holly.

To commemorate the occasion, the smash- hit musical, Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story will be rocking into Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday February 16 to Saturday February 21.

Fifty years ago, the young man who changed the face of popular music tragically died in a plane crash aged just 22.

Now in its 20th year, Buddy tells the story of the three years in which the icon became the world’s top recording artist with a show that features many of Buddy Holly’s greatest hits including Peggy Sue, That’ll Be The Day, Not Fade Away, Oh Boy, Maybe Baby, Rave On and Raining In My Heart.

Enjoyed by more than 16 million people worldwide, Buddy is sure to get you rocking in the aisles.
