Greg to take on Lear

RSC veteran Greg Hicks will be taking the title role in the company’s new production of King Lear.

RSC veteran Greg Hicks will be taking the title role in the company’s new production of King Lear.

The play will be directed by David Farr; also a respected screenwriter, he has penned several episodes of BBC drama Spooks.

Hicks has appeared in many Shakespearean roles during his time with the RSC.

This latest take on King Lear will also feature Kathryn Hunter as the Fool.

Two tales of doomed romance - Romeo and Juliet and Antony and Cleopatra - are also heading to Stratford’s Courtyard Theatre.
