Stage 27 is set to perform the Brothers Grimm Tales later this month. Generations of children have grown up with the fables and now the local cast will be bringing them to life.

The tales were first adapted for the theatre in the 1990s and debuted at the Young Vic Theatre, London. Among the favourites making up the show are Hansel and Gretel and

Ashputtel (probably better known as Cinderella).

They will be performing at Acocks Green Methodist Church on January 31, but will also be visiting Pype Hayes Community Centre and the Firs & Bromford Community Centre.

All performances start at 7.30pm. Advance tickets are available from Laura Ashfield on 0752 822 1571 or email stage27@hotmail.co.uk.

* Members of Stage 27 meet at the Acocks Green Methodist Church at 8pm on Wednesdays - visit their website at www.stage27.org.uk for more information on how to join.
