Peterbrook Players are a local amateur dramatic group based at Peterbrook School in Solihull Lodge, and are celebrating their 40th anniversary with the fabulous Cole Porter musical ‘Anything Goes’ at Solihull Arts Complex from March 24 - 28 2009.

For this year’s show there will be 45 members on stage and about 25 people backstage, with members varying in age from six to 70. Some members that are participating in the show were in the original show way back in 1969.

Set on a transatlantic crossing on the HMS American, the show has many famous songs including ‘It’s Delovely’, ‘I Get a Kick Out Of You’, ‘Blow Gabriel’ and ‘Anything Goes’ and is suitable for the whole family. With a fun story, great costumes and lots of dancing, it promises to be one of the best shows the company have performed in their 40 year history.

Peterbrook Players have been rehearsing at Peterbrook School for the past 40 years and been part of the community from these early days. From 1969 to 1981 the society performed their shows at the school, but moved to Solihull Arts Complex 25 years ago, and have been performing a musical a year ever since then.
