JESSICA Singer is living up to her name, after finding a novel way to pay her way at a prestigious drama school.
The 19-year-old, from Knowle, beat off fierce competition for one of just 20 places at the Arts Educational Schools.
But the establishment, which has trained the likes of Julie Andrews, charges fees of more than £12,000 a year. So the former Arden School pupil will be putting on a concert – featuring the songs from West End and Broadway shows.
Jessica hopes the show, taking place at Solihull’s Royal British Legion, on June 18, will help to cover her costs.
