MUSIC lovers are being invited to pull on their glad-rags for a new show.
Solihull Operatic Society is performing Footloose the Musical - which started life as a hit film, released in 1984.
To help capture the spirit of the period, the society has decided to hold a Fancy Dress Night during one of the evening shows.
There will be prizes for the best-dressed man and woman in the audience.
A spokesman said: “This is such a happy show reminding us of the carefree eighties, we wanted to give our audience the opportunity to join in the party.”
Best remembered for hits like “Holding out for a Hero”, the musical takes you back to small town America of 25 years ago.
Footloose will be performed at Solihull Arts Complex from April 26-May 1. Tickets are available on 0121 704 6962.
