THE legendary Zimbabwean musician Oliver Mtukudzi and his band The Black Spirits are the headline act at a day long gig in aid of the action group Motherland Zimbabwe.
Mtukudzi, who hasn’t fought shy of singing about life under the Mugabe regime in the past, will be joined by the country’s king of jazz Paul Lunga, its premier dub poet Albert Nyathi & Imbongi and the gospel superstar, Fungisai Zvakavapano amongst many others.
It’s an all-day family and cultural event and represents one of the very few opportunities in this country to see a talent like Mtukudzi live on stage.
The show is to take place at the Arrow Valley Country Park in Redditch, B98 0LJ just 15 minutes down the M42 from Redditch.
Tickets (£47.50 for two adults and two children under 12, for example) for the event, which starts at noon and ends at 11pm, are available on the gate.
