Solihull College is opening up its animal care centre as part of the Open Gardens weekend.

Families will be able to become close to animals like meerkats, parrots and lizards. And there will also be the chance to explore the gardens of Tudor Grange House – a historic building situated on the Blossomfield Road campus.

Nigel Smith, from Solihull College, said: “It’s great to be able to invite local residents into the college to show them exactly what we have to offer.

“It will be a great day for the whole family with lots of different activities to keep everyone busy. The day promises to be a community celebration combining history, beautiful gardens and animal displays providing a perfect day for the young and old alike.”

The event will be taking place between 10am-4pm.

Proceeds from the Open Gardens event will go to the local Citizens Advice Bureau. For a full list of the gardens taking part go to www.solihullsopengardens.org.uk
