THIS spring at Town Hall & Symphony Hall expect some great entertainment in the form of jazz nostalgia and legendary artists.

BBC Big Band relives two great eras of jazz with Radio Days and A Tribute to Frank and Ella while the great jazz man Courtney Pine and the newly minted Jazz Warriors collective join for the high-powered and intense Afropeans live show at Town Hall on March 26.

On the same night Symphony Hall sees Jazz Legends – Mr Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band and Chris Barber Big Band perform together (March 26).

Celebrating Motown’s 50th, Town Hall presents Motorcity Roots with Jazz Jamaica – a special even­ing of classic Detroit soul with a Caribbean twist on April 17 and fans can also take a look at the Jazz Camera exhibition at Symphony Hall throughout March featuring images captured by prolific jazz photographer John Watson.

Irish-French singer and performer Camille ­

O’Sullivan returns to Town Hall on June 3 (tickets £17.50) and platinum-selling artist and world renowned saxophonist Kenny G opens his Rhythm and Romance UK tour at Symphony Hall on Monday, April.20.

Kenny G has sold 75 million albums, played with Barry White’s Love Unlimited Orchestra and has collaborated with Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston among others.

Other upcoming events include Town Hall, BBC Big Band – Jazz Goes To The Movies, with special guest Michelle McManus in association with BBC Radio 2 on Friday, May 22 at 7.30pm. Tickets priced at £19.50, £16.50, £12.50 are on sale now.
