A PAIR of festive classics will be performed at the Birmingham Rep this Christmas.
Although it’s only a few weeks since we took down the decorations, preparations begin early in theatre.
Earlier this week, the venue announced that A Christmas Carol and The Snowman will be staged over the festive season.
The news comes as the Rep celebrated the biggest hit in its 95 year history.
A remarkable 59,000 people saw the theatre’s production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Rachel Kavanaugh, artistic director of the Birmingham Rep, said: “Both A Christmas Carol and The Snowman are wonderful stories that make for great stage adaptations, and they make the perfect productions for a family Christmas.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the audience response to The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, particularly in light of the current financial climate and we send a big thank you to those who have supported us.”
Tickets for A Christmas Carol (November 25-January 9) and The Snowman (January 15-31) went on sale this week.
