AN URBAN music group - which started at a Solihull church - is on a mission to inspire their fans.
RTS (Reclaiming the Streets) are this week releasing their first EP and hoping to send a positive message to young people everywhere.
The tracks will be unveiled tonight (Friday) at The Drum, Aston.
RTS was started in 2005 by a group of friends who attended the Renewal Christian Centre in Lode Lane. Over the past four years, their number has swelled and today there are 14 members (aged 15-22).
A spokesman said: “With gun and knife crime on the rise, young people are in need of positive young role models, who can discourage them from gang culture, and motivate them to achieve their full potential.”
Last year the group performed at Notting Hill Carnival, Nottingham Carnival and several Christian festivals, such as Soul Survivor.
And earlier this month they brought their music to the crowds at Birmingham Carnival 09.
