The time is in the future, in a place that was once called earth, globalisation is complete.

Everywhere the kids watch the same movies, wear the same fashions and think the same thoughts. It’s a safe, happy, ga’ga world.

Unless you’re a rebel. Unless you want to rock!

This was the setting for Grace Academy’s most successful performance, the Solihull school’s version of ‘We Will Rock You’ was performed to over 1,100 people in three sell-out nights from March 18-20.

Praise was heaped on the show after every performance as the cast got the audience rocking in their seats and blasted the generation gap in to smithereens.

The sponsor and head of governors, Bob Edmiston, after watching the performance on Thursday night, said: “We Will Rock You was simply outstanding.

“It was quite simply the best performance from a school that we have seen - from the choice of actors, to the synchronisation of the lighting and music and the speed and efficiency of the change of sets. We just feel so proud of our students and staff who put together such an excellence performance.”

Both the staff and cast involved in Grace Academy’s version of ‘We Will Rock You’ thoroughly enjoyed creating and performing the show and are immensely proud of the amazing feedback they have received.

They are all now busy trying to find a show to perform next year, that will make just as big an impact.
