ACCLAIMED British musician, producer and composer Nitin Sawhney comes to Town Hall on October 18 with a selection of music and vocals from his latest album London Undersound.

Featuring thoughts, ideas and sentiments on the feeling in London following the 7/7 bombings, London Undersound establishes Nitin Sawhney as a leading artist.

With input from artists including Paul McCartney, Natty, Reena Bhardwaj, Ojos de Brujo, Tina Grace and Faheem Mazhar, the album embraces a variety of sounds from swirling flamenco guitar, funk-fuelled drum and bass rhythms and Indian vocals layered over tabla and strings.

A pre-show DJ set from underground music pioneer Manga (Shaanti, Funkshaan) and a post-show conversation with the BBC Asian Network will also take place.

London Undersound is available now on Cooking Vinyl Records.

Tickets £17.50 on Town Hall Symphony Hall Box Office 0121 780 3333.
