TREBLE the work is going into a new show being put together by the Hampton Players.

Melodrama & Mirth will be performed in leafy Hampton-in-Arden later this month. The show will comprise of three one act plays.

A hapless burglar, a complete maniac and a Victorian family will be providing the laughs in three very different stories.

The actors are busy rehearsing for the four-night run, which is due to begin on November 19.

Maureen George, chairman of the Hampton Players, said: "Judging by the laughter during rehearsals - everyone is enjoying themselves which means that the audience are in for a good evening."

Although there was due to be a supper and theatre evening on November 22, the group has issued a reminder that food will no longer be served and there will now just be a performance.

Tickets are now on sale at The Corner Shop, 2, High Street, Hampton-in-Arden. Alternatively call 01675 442454 01675 442432.
