FIVE of Solihull’s art societies have clubbed together to set up an exhibition of some 350 paintings in Solihull Library Studio.

The Lady Mayor of Solihull, Coun Irene Chamberlain, opened the exhibition and unveiled a painting by the late George Busby – a well known and admired local artist.

The exhibition features the work of some 80 artists from Catherine de Barnes Art Society, The Drawbridge Art Group, Millpool Art Society, Solihull PALS and Solihull Society of Arts (art section).

Visitors will be able to meet some of the artists involve or take home a painting – some of the work is for sale.

The exhibition will finish tomorrow (Saturday, September 3).
