Tia makes big screen debut

CHELMSLEY Wood schoolgirl Tia Thomson is appearing in a hot, new British film.

The 10-year-old is among the young cast of Nativity!, which hit the big screen last week.

It’s a dream come true for Tia, a pupil at Marston Green Junior School, and the family are planning a special trip to the cinema to see thecomedy.

Mum Alison said: “We were delighted to hear that Tia had won a part in the film.

“She went for auditions and filming took place last year. It was a really good experience for her and she’s already asking me when she can do something like this again.”

The youngster attends the Valentine Theatre School, held at the Grace Academy. Fellow pupil Paige Rice also won a part in the film - which was shot in Coventry.

Starring Martin Freeman (pictured) and Alan Carr, Nativity! tells the story of two rival schools, battling to produce the best Christmas play.
