Hotly-tipped stand-up Andrew O’Neill visits Birmingham next month for a double bill performance alongside Dan Nightingale.
The comedian, just nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the 2009 Chortle Awards, is bringing his cult Edinburgh show ‘Andrew O’Neill’s Totally Spot-on History of British Industry’ to the Old Joint Stock Theatre on March 18.
The show is described as steam powered fake history, half-satire, half-surrealism with more facts than you can fit in a top-hat.
MySpace Comedy UK branded the show ‘Clever, witty, surreal, silly, well-constructed, beautifully written and pretty much faultless’, while the Guardian wrote ‘Probably the best actual jokes I’ve heard on the fringe this year.’
Tickets are £9.50 direct from the venue or £10.00 from agencies, performance starts at 8pm.
