OVER 25 years ago, the Miner’s Strike shook whole communities to their foundations.

Now the dramatic events of 1984 will be brought back to life on the stage by a group of young actors.

The youth section of Hall Green Little Theatre will be performing Black Roses next week.

The play examines the battle to stop pit closures from the perspective of women at the centre of the industrial action.

You can see the play at the Acocks Green venue from April 25-30. Tickets are available on 0121 707 1874.
